Mr. Sills spent over thirty years in the utility industry working in the gas transmission and distribution department(s). Holding many positions throughout his career Mr. Sills began as a Street Mechanic working his way up to Night Dispatcher. Recently Mr. Sills co-founded Community Renewable Energy Solutions, a business specializing in energy solutions for non-profits and government entities and residential ratepayers.
Serving on numerous non-profit board and committees, Mr. Sills has a long history of working with community groups to develop economic development plans, employment opportunities, and training for local residents. Mr. Sills has served on the Board of Trustees for the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Burlington, N. J., for over twenty-five years and is currently active on the Board.
Mr. Sills is a founding member of the Oliver Cromwell Black History Society Inc., head quartered in the historic city of Burlington, New Jersey. The Society has provided over $50,000 in prize money, US Savings Bonds and other gifts to students in the Burlington City School System during the annual “Black History Month program in the past thirty years.
A Willingboro resident since 1978.
As a Green Team Member, Mr. Sills has authored many energy related recommendations including the current program for energy aggregation.
Appointed to the Board of Commissioners, Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority in 2014 as an Alternative Commissioner, Mr. Sills currently serves as Chairman of that Board.
